Been on and off COD: Infinite Warfare for the last few weeks. As in I’ve managed to get a few sessions in. Wasn’t bad to get back in the saddle – though admittedly I’m very rusty. The scores that I’m posting up aren’t up to the standard that I’d like.
I’m also finding that I’m hitting a lot of issues with hit detection. Now whether this is down to lag compensation (I am fully aware that this is a complicated set of coding that will never truly be perfect; this is life), my aim truly being that bad (looked near perfect on my screen, honest), or some unknown mystery, I doubt I’ll ever find out. But having played for a while I can feel myself getting back on my feet.
Onto this weekend. I found out from a friend and fellow clan member that it was double XP for both weapons and player. Nice. On top of that, logging on today I found that there is a quarter master triple play on. Now for anyone that hasn’t seen this what you will get is:
- 10 Rare Supply Drops
- 1 dupe-protected QR-M5TR Collection Hack
- 1 dupe-protected Mark II Hack
Two caveats to this. It costs either 400 keys (or 2500 COD points if you’re that way inclined), and you’re limited to only purchasing 2.
400 keys is a lot. I’ve been playing around 45 minutes and only gained 11. This means that, unless I’m able to get keys a lot quicker, it will take me around 27 hours 15 minutes. For one. That is a long time, and even though there’s no time limit on it (or doesn’t show one at least), I envisage that it will have gone long before I can open even one bundle, never mind two!
I’ll keep plugging away though. See what I can get up to on this session.
In other news, yesterday I managed to enter prestige 3. Go me. This prestige I’d like to finish off the assault rifle camo’s. I’m on the last couple for the Type-2 (160 headshots & whatever that unlocks), then I need the Volk (plus the new one that arrived this week). Then I’ll have completed the diamond camos there and can move onto the next list.
Now I’ve started the SMGs, in fact just one left on the Erad (slide kills), and I’m finding that particularly troublesome. So much so that I’ve moved on to the FHR. I’ve started the LMG’s too, slowly working through the R.A.W.
It’s a long process for the guns that you don’t like the feel of. The assault rifles seem to fit my style (I’m quite fond of the KBAR) more than any others.
If I get some time, I’ll throw up any classes that I’m using…. if anyone else fancies using the same ones.
Anyway – time to get back to the grind. See you later.
